  • Administrative Assistant

    Overview          


    The job provides various kinds of administrative support to clients and the staff. This position supports the entire office of the firm.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Answer the phone
    • Make appointments
    • Print and assemble tax returns
    • Print financial statements
    • Greet clients
    • Handle mail, trash, scanning, client billing, office supplies, office appearance, website, newsletters, data entry, and all other projects that come up
    • Assist staff, manager, and partners with any other projects or tasks

  • Accounting Assistant

    Overview     


    This person keeps records of financial transactions for clients by performing the duties below. Other duties may be assigned, and this person may be a backup administrative assistant as needed.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


    • Client data entry that verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts
    • Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to the general ledger
    • Reconciles and balances accounts
    • Maintains current and accurate client payable and receivable data, assuring checks, invoices, and statements as required by the client
    • Tax return preparation that collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports and tax returns
    • Payroll processing that calculates employee wages from records or time cards and prepares checks for payment of wages
    • Prepares withholding, Social Security, and all other payroll tax reports
    • Sets up all new payrolls and registers company with the appropriate tax numbers and tax forms
    • Assists staff accountants, managers, and partners with any other projects or tasks

    Qualifications

  • Project Coordinator

    Overview       


    The project coordinator is accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, and ensuring that project billings are issued to clients and payments collected.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    In this role, you will assume the responsibility for the coordination and completion of accounting, compilations, payrolls, reviews, and tax projects assigned to you, and you will coordinate the firm’s project management software. You are tasked with efficiently delivering quality service to a variety of clients while maintaining positive staff relationships.


    • Create projects, monitor projects, and assign the firm’s projects to ensure delivery to the client by due dates
    • Review and approve the WIP
    • Coordination of staff time off, ensuring firm policy
    • Investigate project variances and report excess time variances to partners
    • Coordinating billing, collection, and project budgeting
    • Approved write off for any project-related billings that cannot be billed or collected from clients
    • Promote efficiencies through planning and act as a liaison between the staff and the partners
    • Master the project management software and make recommendations and improvements for data entry and payroll processing to best serve our clients' needs
    • Assist the firm’s partners in ensuring the firm’s policies, procedures, and mission statement are being maintained

  • Tax Accountant

    Overview          


    As a tax accountant, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of tax and management services to provide solid business advice to help improve the client's experience with the firm and become their “Most Valued Advisor."


    You will assume the responsibility for the coordination and completion of tax projects to efficiently deliver quality service to a variety of clients, while maintaining positive clients and employee relationships. In addition, you will perform more complex technical work, conduct technical research, and resolve problems.  


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Review and prepare various tax returns, assuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
    • Follow up and handle all notices and issues that the clients may have regarding the tax returns that were prepared by the tax accountant

    Overview         


    A staff or senior accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. This person is the primary point of contact for clients. They should have a bachelor's degree or an associate's degree with experience to demonstrate their ability to be promoted to this position. You will be responsible for functions such as client compilations and taxes. You will typically spend around five years at the entry level before promotion to senior associate. You will be responsible for most of the administrative and research work with the firm.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
    • Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes and writes narrative reports explaining findings
    • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
    • Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for clients
    • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures

    • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
    • Mentors staff to be in compliance with GAAP and the firm's policies and procedures

    • Development of in-house training for staff
    • Researches tax and accounting issues for staff, management, and partners
    • Prepares and reviews various tax returns, assuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations

    Overview          


    This person will apply principles of accounting and in-depth knowledge of the client's businesses to provide solid business advice and analyze financial information. The goal is to help improve the client's business and become their “Most Valued Advisor,” using this knowledge in all facets of our firm's services. This includes planning, compliance, research, and business development.


    Managers are CPAs with six or more years of experience in public accounting. You will be assigned to head up the firm’s accounting division, directly managing the senior and staff accountants in the areas of compilations, reviews, and business taxes. You will assign tasks to entry-level associates and oversee the day-to-day management of data collection, advanced-level research, and client's issues.


    Essential Duties 


    You will assume the responsibility for the coordination and completion of accounting, compilations, reviews, payroll, and tax projects. You will coordinate the firm’s project management software to ensure the firm is efficiently delivering quality service to our clients, while maintaining positive client and employee relationships. In addition, you will perform more complex technical work, conduct technical research, and resolve problems.
